BUY ITEMS WITH ECB's ATTACHED

In order to get the most out of CVS, you need to buy items that offer ECB's or Extra Care Bucks. Every week, CVS offers many items that give you ECB's back. The value of the ECB varies from $1 to $10. Some items may even be FREE after the ECB are given.

To get started, check your weekly ad and find out what items generate an ECBs. To get good at CVSing, you have to buy what you don't need. I know this is a backwards way of shopping, but the way I think about it is "I buy what I don't need so I have it when I need it." Once you determine what you want to buy, check to see if there is a manufacture coupon to go with it (with the alphabetical coupon index by GrocerySmarts - COMING this WEEK!!!) and purchase the item. In the example below, you earn more ECBs than what you spent OOP (out of pocket).
