Hi Lisa,
I was just wondering about the $5 off Duracell battery coupon you talked about on your blog. I went to the CVS by my house this morning and they didn't know anything about it. Do only certain stores have them, and is it just something they have behind the counter? Which store did you go to and get it?
Thanks for your help, Eleisha
My CVS on Maryland Parkway and Silverado had the coupons behind the counter. However, I stopped by the CVS on Windmill and Vegas Blvd and they had the coupons displayed by the batteries. The coupon is a "CVS coupon" so I think it is up to the store manager how they display them.
If you do find the coupon, here is a tip that I learned . . . when handing in your ECB's and coupons do it in this order:
1) ECB'S
2) Manufacture Coupons
3) CVS $5/2 coupon.
In any other order, your order will not work. I had a nice sales associate that helped me figure this out after my first transaction didn't work out and was not excepting my ECB's.
Have you found the CVS $5/2 Duracell Battery coupon? If so let us know so others know what CVS store they should shop at this week!

I have to ask, how much do you spend on groceries, cleaning supplies, and other stuff each month. I try to keep us at about $300 and some months it is hard and others a piece of cake. Is it really possible to do all of this and still get everything that I need vs what I could use because it is on sale. We eat lots of fresh veggies and fruits throughout the week and so we usually spend a bit on those. So just curious if I can really save money, get a lot more product and my same products, and not go over my $300 limit a month (and perhaps even cut it down to less).
Hey Heather -
My weekly budget is about $90 so that makes my monthly budget around $360 for everything, food including fresh produce, cleaning, laundry, toilertries, baby supplies and stocking my pantry.
Before I started couponing I was at about $150 a week but it got to upwards of $200 if diapers and laundry detergant was needed. I could totally cut back even more, but D and I do not eat out so we like to have nice meals at home. We rarely have mac and cheese for dinner (one of the cheapest dinners out there). I would suggest just using grocerysmarts.com for a few weeks and you will see a savings just by shopping the sales. Then add coupons on top of that and your savings will grow.
Why don't you just give me a call and we can talk coupons and about the good old days at BHS.
