ECBs print out on the bottom of your receipts and act as coupons to be used for your next purchase. The best way to get more out of CVS is to recycle your ECB's. By this I mean to only buy items with your ECBs, that will give you ECBs in return.
The idea of the "CVS Game" is to "roll" ECBs into multple transactions. Here is an example of what I am talking about
TRANSACTION #1
Buy Bic Soleil Single Razor and 4 ct Refill at $6.99, Get $5 ECB
Use 2 $4/1 MQ
Total OOP $5.98
Receive $5.00 ECB (to be rolled into another purchase)
TRANSACTION #2
Buy 1 Revlon Limited Edition Product at $9.99, Get $9.99 ECBs (Limit 1)
Use $2/1 MQ (7/20 SS )
Total $ 7.99
Use $5.00 ECB's from Transaction #1
Use $2/1 MQ (7/20 SS )
Total $ 7.99
Use $5.00 ECB's from Transaction #1
Total OOP becomes $2.99
Receive $9.99 ECB (to be rolled into another purchase)
Save the $9.99 for an upcoming ad and roll it into something that will give you ECB's in return. Your goal should be to use the ECBs you earned from a previous transaction, to buy something in your next transaction which will earn you the same amount or more ECBs than you spent.
Every week that you shop CVS for "recyclables" you will get better and better at spotting what to spend your ECB's on. it.
If you have any questions about rolling your ECBs into mulitple transactions. And ReMeMbEr . . . stick to your budget. Rolling EBC can get out of hand and could potential blow your budget. No more than 4 transaction per trip. I try to spend less than $15.00 a week. Most weeks I challenge myself to see how much I can get for $10.00.
